PRIDE MARCH

Millport Pride March Information
Please note that our first-ever Millport Pride March will be a walking event only. Unfortunately, floats, cars, buses, trailers, and other vehicles will not be permitted as part of the parade.
We encourage everyone to show their Pride by bringing family-friendly banners, flags, costumes, placards, and colourful accessories to help make the march a vibrant celebration.
Participation in the Pride March is FREE, but all groups must register in advance to take part.
For the safety of everyone attending, groups of six (6) or more must provide a designated Marshal. Your Volunteer Marshal should walk alongside your group throughout the march, helping to keep everyone together and ensuring the event runs safely and smoothly.
March Assembling from 12noon and starting at 12.30pm
The march will start at Kames Bay and then goes along the front to the pier, it’s around a mile and is a flat, seafront route
Sign up your group via the form below to join the march

Cycling Without Age can provide trishaw rides for the march, making it an ideal way for anyone unable to walk to take part. If you’d like to arrange a ride, please get in touch with them directly to book:

Aside from the trishaws, the procession will be made up of pedestrians, wheelchair users and other non-motorised vehicles.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FLOATS AND MOTORISED VEHICLES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON OUR MARCH. Cars, Buses etc are welcome on the island but must be parked in an official car park space before joining the march.
There is ample parking around the start of the march. Millport Motors buses are wheelchair accessible and stop at Kames Bay, following the route of the march to their terminus at the pier.
There is also on street parking at the end of the procession and at the Garrison.
Be aware if bringing a car across that the ferry may be busier than usual and allow time to queue- ferries are every 20 mins but it’s first come, first served. Buses meet the ferries but it is quite a steep slope up to the bus stop from the ferry, especially at low tide.
The community stalls and youth zone are at the Garrison which is in the centre of Millport, about 400m from the pier and there will be a quiet space in the Cumbrae Forum
Hub, approx 100m from the pier. All are level/no step access. There are accessible toilets at the Garrison. Other entertainment will be in local pubs along the route, nothing is very far apart here!
There will be first aiders available during the march, the marshalls can point them out if required.
